What does Shoreline Additive manufacture?
Contract FDM production of soft and lightweight foamed polymer components for drones and other unmanned systems. The soft family: antenna mounts, camera cages, bumpers, landing gear, and vibration dampers in TPU from Shore 60A to 95A. The light family: foamed wing sections, fuselage components, formers, and other structures in foamed PLA and lightweight foaming polymers.
What materials do you print?
Soft and very soft TPU (Shore 60A–95A, solid or foamed), foaming TPU with tunable density, PEBAX, foamed PLA, and other lightweight foaming polymers compatible with the Bambu Lab H2D platform. Rigid materials such as PETG, ASA, and PA blends are quoted on request alongside elastomer orders.
How much lighter are foamed parts?
Foaming polymers expand at the nozzle and print parts weighing up to half of the identical solid geometry, with density tunable per part. Every first article ships with measured weights for the foamed part and its solid twin, so the number is verified on a scale rather than claimed.
Do you hold AS9100 or ISO 9001?
No. We hold neither AS9100 nor ISO 9001 today; AS9100 is on our roadmap. Every order runs under a documented quality system with first-article inspection reports on every new part number and material lot traceability on every order. If a program requires an AS9100-registered shop, we are the wrong shop for that program and will say so in the first call.
Are you ITAR registered?
No, deliberately. We do not accept ITAR-marked technical data at all, so nothing subject to ITAR enters our systems. Customers typically classify printed elastomeric and foamed drone components as EAR99 or 9A610.x under the Export Administration Regulations; classification of your data remains your responsibility.
Is there a minimum order quantity or tooling charge?
No minimums and no tooling charges. FDM production has no molds to amortize, so a first article, a 50-part validation run, and a 5,000-part production order all price from the same process. The economic sweet spot is roughly 100 to 5,000 units per SKU; at true mass scale injection molding wins, and we will tell you when your volume gets there.
What file formats do you accept?
3MF is preferred, including Bambu Studio project files with your print profile embedded. STL and STEP are welcome, up to 200 MB per file through the quote form. If you have already tuned a print profile you like, send it; we start from yours and report what we changed.
How fast are quotes and parts?
Quotes within 48 hours of upload. First articles typically ship within days, with an inspection report and part-on-the-scale weight numbers. Production lead times depend on quantity and are stated on the quote.
Where are parts made?
All production runs in Ventura County, California, on a farm of more than 100 Bambu Lab H2D printers operating seven days a week. Domestic production, US-owned company.
How do you protect uploaded designs?
NDA before files if you prefer. Uploads land in access-controlled, per-customer storage, are used solely for your quote and order, are never used for any other customer, and are deleted on written request.
