Terms of Use

Effective date: August 13, 2026

These terms govern your use of shorelineadditive.com (the "Site") and the submission of requests for quote ("RFQs"). By using the Site or submitting an RFQ you agree to them. Production orders are governed by a separate quotation or supply agreement; if those documents conflict with these terms, they control.

1. RFQs and quotes

Submitting an RFQ is a request for pricing, not an order, and creates no obligation on either side. Quotes we issue are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise, and are subject to engineering review of your files.

2. Your files and intellectual property

You retain all ownership of the designs and files you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use them solely to evaluate, quote, and (if you order) manufacture your parts. We treat uploaded files as confidential, store them in access-controlled per-customer storage, never use them for any other customer or purpose, and delete them on written request. You represent that you have the rights necessary to share the files you upload.

3. Export control — read this before uploading

We do not accept ITAR-marked or ITAR-controlled technical data, and the Site must not be used to transmit it. By uploading files you represent that they are not subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (22 C.F.R. Parts 120–130) and are not marked as export-controlled beyond EAR99 or 9A610.x classifications. Classification of your technical data is your responsibility. If you believe your data requires controlled handling, do not upload it; contact us first via the contact page.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to interfere with the Site's operation, probe or circumvent its security or verification measures, submit malicious files, scrape content at volume, or use the RFQ system for anything other than genuine quotation requests.

5. Site content

Site content (text, graphics, logo) is our property or licensed to us and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without permission. Material specifications on the Site are descriptive summaries, not engineering guarantees; controlling specifications are those stated in a quote or supply agreement.

6. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the use of the Site or an RFQ submission will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100), and we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. This section does not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and does not apply to production orders, which are governed by their own agreements.

8. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Ventura County, California.

9. Changes

We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance.
